Jodhaa Akbar is a sixteenth century love story about a marriage of alliance that gave birth to true love between a great Mughal emperor, Akbar, and a Rajput princess, Jodhaa. Became a fan of Hrithik after this film. He suits the role to the T. and yes he even speaks good Urdu. which is a rarity nowadays...Aishawariya looks ill and dull. Film is very good.

The DVD is made in 4:3 format although the actual movie is anamorphic 16:9, resulting in loss of quality as black bands are encoded too.

To counter this loss of quality the movie is encoded in high bit rate and split in 2 DVD disc, a cheap & unprofessionally made DVD released by Big Home video.

I feel bad as I could not enjoy the movie in its full glory on a widescreen LCD .

Movie is a good incite into the past glory of Moghuls, lovely dresses, jewellery & sets. Aish & Hrithik look great on screen. As for the script/story it is just OK.
